Vincent Gaddis

Vincent Hayes Gaddis (born 28 December 1913 in Ohio; † 14 June 1997 Eureka ( California)) was an American reporter and author.

He worked as a newspaper reporter and 1947-1952 for a radio station in Warsaw ( Indiana). He also supplied the SF writer Raymond A. Palmer with short stories. 1952-1959 he was a columnist for the daily newspaper Elkhart Truth, Elkhart (Indiana). Then he made public relations for the Studebaker -Packard Corporation and Mercedes Benz in South Bend (Indiana). From 1962 he was a freelance writer.

In February 1964 he published in the pulp magazine Argosy article The Deadly Bermuda Triangle on 20 cases of missing aircraft and ships. Became famous for it later by Charles Berlitz.
