Vincent Joseph Hines

Vincent Joseph Hines ( born September 14, 1912 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA; † 23 April 1990) was Bishop of Norwich.

Life

Vincent Joseph Hines received on 2 May 1937, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On November 27, 1959, he was named by Pope John XXIII. Bishop of Norwich. The Archbishop of Hartford, Henry Joseph O'Brien, donated to him on 17 March 1960, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Worcester, Bernard Joseph Flanagan, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford, John Francis Hackett.

Hines attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as part of a Council Father.

On June 5, 1975 Vincent Joseph Hines resigned as Bishop of Norwich.
