Vinnie Jones

Vinnie Jones ( born January 5, 1965 in Watford, England ) is a former Welsh footballer. After his active career as a professional football player, he was an actor. He was born in England, his parents, however, coming from Wales.

Football career

Jones played for Wealdstone, FC Wimbledon (with whom he won the FA Cup in season 1987/88 ), Leeds United, Sheffield United, Chelsea FC, again for Wimbledon FC and finally at the Queens Park Rangers as player-coach. He was also captain of the Welsh national team.

He was known for his physical play way his nickname " the ax " brought him. He became famous by a snapshot showing him during a game, as he attacks his opponent Paul Gascoigne in the testicles. Jones is also still hold the record for the fastest yellow card (obtained within three seconds). Jones was expelled in his career 13 times of the field, a total he played 438 games in the professional sector.

Acting Career

Incidentally, Jones was acting in some television roles, had his own radio shows and wrote six years for a great English newspaper. Later a role in the movie Jack, Queen, King, Stock and him by Guy Ritchie was offered, which he accepted. He decided in 1999 to end his football career in order to concentrate on acting. High level of awareness as an actor, he reached in his second role for Guy Ritchie in the film Snatch - Pigs and diamonds. Jones proved to be a natural talent, was showered with awards (including " Best Newcomer from the Odeon Cinemas ' People's Choice Awards ," " Best Debut Performance from the Variety Club of Great Britain" and "Empire Magazine's Best Newcomer "). He has played also in the films Gone in 60 Seconds, Password: Swordfish with and in 2002 signed a contract for six rolls of film with Morgan Freeman. In addition, he starred in the film Mean Machine, where he plays the ex- England captain, who is under arrest for assault in prison. He also had a cameo appearance in the Japanese independent film Survive Style 5 . We should also be known Vinnie film fans from the movie Euro Trip, in which he plays the leader of the hooligans of Manchester United. In X -Men 3, he plays the role of Juggernaut. In 2008 he took a role in the horror film The Midnight Meat Train. In the documentary series " Toughest Cops" he accompanied police officers in different countries in their daily work.
