Vip mobile d.o.o. is a telecommunications company that operates mobile networks in Serbia. The company is a 100 percent subsidiary of Telekom Austria Group, the Central and Eastern Europe is active in eight countries. Vip mobile in Serbia is in competition with Telekom Srbija and Telenor ( telephone company from Norway).
History
Vip mobile was founded by Boris NEMSIC, former Director General of mobilkom austria AG. The company was granted a license on the 1st December 2006 and launched on 9 July 2007 with the operating business.
By 2010 Vip mobile as a 100 percent subsidiary of mobilkom austria AG was performed. On 8 July 2010, mobilkom austria AG was merged into Telekom Austria TA AG. As part of this merger, the non-Austrian subsidiary of mobilkom austria AG Telekom Austria Group was assumed. Therefore, Vip mobile is since 2010 a 100 percent subsidiary of the Telekom Austria Group.
Business
The company had in the first quarter of 2013, according to information a market share of 20.5 percent, making it the third largest mobile operator in the Republic of Serbia.
