Virginia McKenna

Virginia McKenna ( born June 7, 1931 in London) is a British theater and film actress and founder of the Born Free Foundation.

Life

Virginia McKenna was trained at drama school and began her career in the theater, but soon found the film. Internationally known she was born with the Free Movie - Queen of the wilderness in which they embodied the naturalist Joy Adamson. Also available in other films, made in East Africa, were animals in the center of the action. Virginia McKenna first marriage to actor Denholm Elliott lasted only eight months. From the second marriage with Bill Travers, also fellow actor, were born four children. In 1984, McKenna together with her second husband and her son check the Zoo Campaign for critical examination of zoos. On 20 July 1998, finally followed by the official founding of the Born Free Foundation.
