Visabeira is a global Portuguese holding company of Viseu.

History

The company was formed in 1980 as a service company in the telecommunications industry, especially for the CTT Correios de Portugal ( today Portugal Telecom). The growing economy of Portugal and the privatization of many state-owned enterprises also allowed a steady growth of Visabeira, which expanded its activities in the sequence to the most diverse areas of infrastructure, particularly in the areas of energy, telecommunications, and cable television. The company was active then increasingly as equity and investment company, and expanding its activities today, especially abroad, from where it generates its principal business growth.

Structure

Principal shareholder of Grupo Visabeiara SGPS, S. A. is company co-founder Fernando Campos Nunes, with 77.92 %. The following are the Caixa Geral de Depósitos with 11.81% and the investment company of the Foreign Trade Chamber AICEP with 4.51%.

Visabeira has subsidiaries in nine countries ( together with Portugal still Angola, Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Morocco, Mexico, Mozambique, and Spain), and is in about 50 countries on all five continents for business active. Particularly in Africa reached Visabeira significant growth. So they alone employs over 1,000 people in Angola, in the fields of telecommunications and cable television, as well as automotive imports and leasing, forestry, among others

A total of 32 companies, mainly Infratsrukturunternehmen as Viatel ( 99.29 %), Beiragás ( 23.52 % ), TV Cabo Mozambique (50 % ), TV Cabo Angola ( 50%), Construcel France ( 95.99 %), Construcel Belgium ( 96.77 %), Construcel Dominican Republic ( 51%), Gatel (France, 100%), Televisa Maroc (80 %), Televisa Mozambique (50 %), Yetech (Mexico, 50%), among others, especially in Angola and Mozambique.

Visabeira Indústria

A total of 13 companies, mainly manufacturing sector, namely: Cerutil (100 %), Vista Alegre Atlantis ( 76.59 %, with Vista Alegre), Bordalgest ( 55.97 %, including 83.99 % of Bordallo Pinheiro ), Ambitermo (50, 99%), Mob ( 97.78 %), Pinewells ( 56%), Granbeira ( 98.75 %), Marmonte Mozambique (80 %), agro Visa Moçambique (99.98 %), Celmoque Moçambique ( 70.38 % ), Álamo Angola (95 %), Visaconstroi Angola ( 95%).

Visabeira Turismo

Hotels, Leisure park and restaurants, including: Montebelo ( 99.83%, with 20 % and Doutibelo Sem Amarras 20%), Movida ( 94.17 %), mundicor (100 %), Rodia (100 %), Turvisa Moçambique (95 %, with Inhambane Mozambique 80%).

In real estate, Visabeira has worked with four companies: Visabeira Imobiliária (100 %), Ifervisa (50 %), Figueira Para Nova ( 38%), Imovisa Mozambique ( 49%).
