Vision Divine

Vision Divine is an Italian metal band that was founded in 1998. The music is a mixture of progressive and power metal.

Band History

Originally Olaf Thorsen Vision Divine has planned as a solo project, but which developed into his main group. He played for the formation of Vision Divine in the power metal band Labyrinth and soon was also the lead singer of Rhapsody Of Fire, Fabio Lione added. Thus, from the solo project a real band, because soon also met Mat Stancioiu on drums, Andrea " Tower" Torricini on bass and Andrew Mc Pauls on the keyboard to do so. In this band only recorded their first album in 1999, which carried the band name and positive reactions elicited.

In 2000, she went on an American tour, where they played as headliners including in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Panama and Mexico. In 2001, she wrote lyrics for her new album and took it then under the name of " Send Me an Angel " at. It was released in January 2002. Olaf Thorsen then left labyrinth in order to fully focus on this band. Mat Stancioiu and Andrew Mc Pauls switched to Labyrinth and were replaced by Oleg Smirnoff and Matteo Amoroso.

In 2003, Fabio Lione left the band in order to concentrate on his main group Rhapsody of Fire, the position as a singer Michele Luppi then took a. With him they recorded a new album that was released in April 2004 under the name " Stream of Consciousness ". After this album the band signed to Scarlet Records for Italy, King Records for Japan and Metal Blade for the remaining countries. Because many fans wanted a live DVD, 2005 "Stage of Consciousness " came out, a 95 -minute recording of concerts the band. Then the fourth album was released in October 2005, who worked on the songs next to Olaf Thorsen Oleg Smirnoff and Michele Luppi. In December 2005 there was a new change in the line-up in three places. Oleg Smirnoff and Andrea " Tower" Torricini were replaced by Alessio "Tom" Lucatti and Cristiano Bertocchi. The drum position left by Matteo Amoroso, was occupied in 2006 by Alessandro Bissa ( Bad Faith ).

On 29 June 2007, the fifth album "The 25th Hour ", has been involved in the shooting, among others Timo Tolkki appeared.

On 24 April 2008 was officially announced on the website of the band that the singer Michele Luppi leaves Vision Divine. Reasons were not specified. The new singer of Vision Divine was announced on 28 May 2008. It is to Fabio Lione, who has already sung earlier for Vision Divine.
