Vision of Disorder

Vision of Disorder is a heavy metal hardcore punk band from America.

Band History

The band was founded in Long Iceland in 1992 by the two guitarists Matt Baumbach and Mike Kennedy. In addition there were the singer Tim Williams, bassist Mike Fleischmann and drummer Brendon Cohen. Fleischmann rose shortly afterwards, but Vision of Disorder played without bass player on. A while later, Mike Fleischmann grabbed but again the strings and the band continued to play without a record deal. Vision of Disorder gathered but also without a contract a considerable cult following, and so they played as support of known bands like Shelter and Type O Negative.

In such a concert hardcore icon Ray Cappo became aware of them. The band, but thought it was pure courtesy and did not elaborate on it a. Only after repeated requests, the band sent some demos. Prompt Ray Cappo took the band to his newly founded label only Super Soul ( which had a distribution deal with Roadrunner Records) on. Then in 1996 she released her first album, Vision of Disorder said. The debut album proved to be successful, and thanks to the positive audience reaction, the group was given a place in the billing of Ozzfests.

1998 brought Vision of Disorder Imprint her new album on the market. The album was recorded within 19 days and in collaboration with Dave Sardy, who has worked with well-known greats like Slayer and Helmet. With this album Visions of Disorder moving away from pure hardcore.

After imprint, it was a long silence around the band, as it was also the last album on Roadrunner. In 1999, For the Bleeders, but that could feature a few new pieces mainly old demo material. Only in 2001 they released a new studio album called From Bliss to Devastation. Again, the band experimented, which is why the album slower but haunting melody came along and more contained; the album has been certified in Chains influences from bands like Alice.

After From Bliss to Devastation had proved a commercial failure, the band took a break in 2002 first, which developed into a separation. 2006, the band came back together for some shows.
