Visolaje

Visolaje ( until 1927 slovak " Visolaj "; Hungarian Viszolaj ) is a municipality in the north-western Slovakia located on the River Pružinka.

The village was first mentioned in 1327 as Wizolay. In 1796 there were in place a brewery, a distillery and a paper mill in the 18th century, Count Csáky from raw and stone tiles a castle including orchard built. The inhabitants were mainly engaged in farming to beekeeping, production of honey wine and after the creation of Czechoslovakia, the basketry and the fruit tree breeding. 1947, a factory was to fur coloration and finishing in the village opened ( Holičky - Bobula ), this has already nationalized the following year.

See value in town is the church, which was built in 1332 and 1786 in Baroque style.
