Vista is an American city in San Diego County in the U.S. state of California. She has, according to an official 2006 estimate a population of 89 891 with a population density of 1857.3 persons per km ². The metropolitan area has a size of 48.4 km ² and is located on the California State Route 78

Vista became a town on 28 January 1963. Together with Oceanside and Carlsbad, it forms a conurbation.
