Vittorio Emanuele (Rome Metro)

Vittorio Emanuele is an underground station of Line A of the Rome Metro. It is located below the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in Esquilino area.

History

The station was taken as part of the first section of the line A into operation on 19 February 1980. As part of the Arte Metro Roma project additions in the 1990s by Nicola Carrino and Giulia Napoleone were provided with mosaics.

On 17 October 2006, in the station an accident in which a train drove into a stationary train already on the platform, because the driver did not notice a stop signal occurred. It died a passenger; about 110 other people were injured.
