Vittorio Sodano

Vittorio Sodano, and Victor Sodano, is an Italian artist. Sodano began to work for special effects at age 16 in a London studio. The first film on which he worked by its own account, was created in 1999: Prima del tramonto.

He has been a lecturer and runs a school named after him for make-up studio in Rome. As one of his models he calls Rick Baker.

Together with Aldo Signoretti Sodano was twice nominated for an Academy Award for Best Makeup. First Apocalypto 2007 and a second time in 2010 for Il Divo. Signoretti and Sodano won respectively the Best Makeup for same movie the David di Donatello 2009 in the categories Best Hairstyling. The following year, Sodano was able to repeat this success with Noi credevamo.
