In the fall of 1978, published Stanshall Sir Henry Rawlinson At End, on which he almost exclusively recites texts with occasional background music. In 1980, it was Tony Stratton -Smith, head of Charisma Records, the opportunity to film adaptation of the story. In the film, Stan Hall plays a supporting role, the title role was occupied by the English theater actor Trevor Howard.

In 1981, Stanshall was another album out: Teddy Boys Do not Knit, this time with the support of some ex- Bonzo, Steve Winwood, Rick Wakeman and others. In the same year he wrote lyrics for Steve Winwood Arc Of A Diver album, the cover was a picture of him.

In 1983, he issued a more hands- plate Sir Henry Ar Ndidi 's Kraal.

His work The Eating At Rawlinson End remained unpublished until now.

Until the nineties, he toured occasionally with his program of music, spoken contributions and slapstick by the small clubs, frequently accompanied by ex - Bonzo colleague Rodney Slater, from time to time Roger Ruskin Spear.

1993 was to be heard in a single release of the title The Bell of Mike Oldfield's music album Tubular Bells II 1992 Stan Hall's voice. Stan Hall is one in a second English version instead of Alan Rickman on the individual instruments.

Stanshall was found dead on 6 March 1995 at his home after one day a fire broke out in his apartment before. The investigation revealed that a lighted lamp must have fallen over and had inflamed his many all-time records.
