Vladimir Pecherin

Vladimir Sergeyevich Petscherin (Russian: Владимир Сергеевич Печерин; scientific transliteration Vladimir Sergeevič Pečerin, even Vladimir Petcherine; * July 27, 1807, † April 29, 1885 in Dublin) was a Russian scholar and poet. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg University, and Professor of Greek philosophy at Moscow University. Later he became a Redemptorist. He is considered the first Russian political emigrant. Petscherin worked as Chaplain at the Mater Hospital in Dublin. His memoirs published in Moscow in 1932 and 2008, also in English. Heart tells in his memoirs, the Hellenist
