Vladimir Shadrin

Vladimir Nikolayevich Shadrin (Russian: Владимир Николаевич Шадрин; born June 6, 1948 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player ( Forward / Center).

Career

For the season 1969/70, the striker began his career at Spartak Moscow HK and he remained with that club until he ended his career after the 1978/79 season. In all, he scored 213 goals in 445 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On 1 December 1968, he was in a game against Finland for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medals at the Winter Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976. For the national team, he scored 71 goals in 169 internationals. In 1976, he was honored by the IIHF as the best scorer on points and after goals. He was 1968-1978 eight times with his team world champion. In 1971 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". On April 14, 1978 he played his last international match.
