Vladimir Vikulov

Vladimir Ivanovich Wikulow (Russian: Владимир Иванович Викулов; born July 20, 1946 in Moscow, † August 9, 2013 ) was a Soviet ice hockey player.

Career

During his career, the striker played for HC CSKA Moscow. In all, he scored 283 goals in 526 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On 5 December 1965, he was in a game against Sweden for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medals at the 1968 Olympic Winter Games and 1972. For the national team, he scored 109 goals in 195 internationals. The Ice Hockey World Championships, he was several times with his team world champion ( 1966-1975 ), a total of nine times. In addition, he took part in both the 1972 Summit Series as well as the Summit Series in 1974. In 1967 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". On 20 December 1977 he played his last international match.
