Volenice (Příbram District)

Volenice ( German Wolenitz, also Wollenitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers west of Březnice and belongs to Příbram.

Geography

Volenice located on the edge of the Natural Park Třemšín in the southern foothills of Brdská Highlands. The village is situated on a terrace on the right side of the creek Volenický creek. To the north rises the Sklenený vrch (Barbara Mountain, 595 m), in the south of the Špalková hora (620 m ) southwest of the Straz ( 638 m) and in the northwest of the Altán ( 669 m ), Na Vrchu ( 695 m), Hradecký hřeben ( 721 m) and the Štěrbina ( 753 m). South of Volenice runs the state road II/179 between Březnice and Hvožďany.

Neighboring towns are Vševily in the north, Pročevily and Hlubyně in the northeast, Na Cihelně, Na Drahách, Sušárna, Bubovice, Marti Nice and Zliv in the east, Hudčice and Koupě the southeast, Slavětín, Bělčice, Na Brodech, Vratečín and Záhrobí in the south, Nová Luka, Leletice and Hvožďany the southwest, Vacíkov, Liz and Chytava in the west and Hutě pod Třemšínem, Voltus and Nouzov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was Velenice 1484th In 1506 the estate was connected to the rule Březnice. 1586 was the village of eight peasant farms and a Chaluppe. In the Berni rula 1654 eight peasant farms, including a tainted, and three cottagers are reported for Volenice. In 1747 there were two mills in the village. With the introduction of house numbers in 1770, 30 houses were counted in Volenice.

In 1840 Wolenitz consisted of 37 houses with 248 inhabitants. In the village there was a tavern. Vicarage was Bubowitz ( Bubovice ). Until the mid- 19th century the village to Allodialherrschaft Breznitz remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Volenice / Wollenitz formed in 1850 a part of the community Hučice in the District Commission and the Court of District Breznitz. Since 1868 Volenice belonged to the district Blatná. 1877 Volenice broke loose from Hučice and formed its own community. A large fire destroyed in 1911 the southern part of the village. In 1947 the port of Volenice to the electricity grid. Nouzov ( with Liz ) was umgemeindet 1948 by Vacíkov after Volenice. In the wake of the repeal of the Okres Blatná Volenice in 1960 associated with the Příbram. In 1964 the incorporation of Bubovice and Pročevily. On 1 January 1980 Hudčice were incorporated ( with Slavětín ) and Koupě, they dissolved in 1993 release. In the 52 houses of the local part Volenice now live 268 people.

Community structure

The community Volenice consists of the districts Bubovice ( Bubowitz ) Nouzov (Not earlier forest village), Pročevily ( Protschewill ) and Volenice ( Wolenitz ) and the monolayer Na Cihelně, Na Drahách ( Drahy ), Liz ( Lis ), Sušárna and Zliv ( Zliw ).

Attractions

  • Parish Church of St.. Wenzel in Bubovice, it originated in the 14th century and is surrounded by a cemetery. Under the chancel is a crypt. When the overhaul of a 1907 Gothic portal was discovered in the outer wall, also historical wall paintings were found inside. Located in the floor grave stones for John of Schweißing († 1483 ), Zdenko of Schweißing († 1496 ), Margarethe von Pořešín († 1529 ), Jan Dobřenský of Dobřenice († 1542) and Zitin of Myslovice were taken out and ready for their preservation in walls offset on the grave stone of Zitin of Myslovice was through the exit already the inscription lost.
  • Church of St.. Barbara Barbara on the mountain at Pročevily, built by the Jesuits original chapel was built in 1730 expanded by the addition of a cloister to the church and supervised by a Jesuit missionary of St. Barbara.
