Volga–Baltic Waterway

The Volga - Baltic Canal, also Volga - Baltic channel called, in northwest Russia is a part of the waterway from the Caspian Sea to the Baltic Sea and the White Sea. It connects the Volga with the Neva (Russia, Northern and Eastern Europe ).

The waterway begins at Cherepovets at the Rybinsk Reservoir and leads - initially during the Scheksna - in the direction of White Lake ( Ozero Beloje ). Further north leads the Volga - Baltic Canal towards Lake Onega, which he happened within the Onegakanals - again in the south.
