Vysoká (Svitavy District)

Vysoká ( German Wysoka, 1939-45: Wissoka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers southeast of Moravian Třebová and belongs to Okres Svitavy.

Geography

Vysoká located on the saddle Skalky the west of the country near the Drahany Bosko brázda.

Neighboring towns are Hartinkov in the north, Ospělov in the east, Trpín, Osikov and Kladky the southeast, Chobyně in the south, Zálesí in the southwest, and Brezinky Nectava in the west and Vražné in the northwest.

History

The mountain village was founded in 1720 by the owner of the domain Biskupice, Wilhelm Adalbert Kolowrat of Liebstein. Here, the court " Na Vysoke " was divided into lots and settled 15 Familianten. Gepfarrt became the new place after Jevíčko because the parish in Biskupice had been vacant since 1618.

1775 divided Marie Antonia of Blümegen the yard belonging to the sheep farm also under 15 Familianten on. The population of the village is surrounded by forests lived mainly on farming, which was not very profitable because of the rocky soil, so that a side business was searched by weaving house. 1785 Wissoka was umgepfarrt after Kladek, where the school was.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vysoká formed together with Nectava a church that had 1854 228 inhabitants. As of 1869, the small village formed a district of Brezinky. 1880 Vysoká became an independent municipality in the district Moravian Třebová. At this time were still 152 people in Vysoká. Since then, the population has declined sharply, 1950, the site had 66 inhabitants.

During the German occupation of the Czech purely populated village belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and was from 1941 to 1945 the political district Littau assigned. After the end of World War II Vysoká came back to Okres Moravian Třebová and was founded in 1961 after the dissolution of part of the Okres Svitavy. Today, most houses in the area serve as holiday homes.
