Waddington is an English village in the county of Lincolnshire. The village is located about 6 km south of Lincoln, in the district of North Kesteven and has 6086 inhabitants ( 2001). In the Domesday Book the village was first mentioned in 1086.

In modern times, the place is known mainly because of the operated since 1916 Royal Air Force base. In Waddington British nuclear bombers of the V- bombers were stationed in the Cold War. To date, Waddington is an important military airfield of the Royal Air Force.
