Wade Hayes

Wade Hayes ( born April 20, 1969 in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma) is an American country singer.

Hayes grew up in Bethel Acres, where he was surrounded by the beginning of country music. His father was a professional musician, playing in honky tonks and bars. Motivated by the model already started Wade to play music in his early youth. He first tried his hand at the mandolin, finally at the age of eleven years he switched to guitar. Influenced by multiple styles such as honky -tonk, Southern rock and bluegrass, he developed his distinctive sound.

Career

When he was a teenager, his father received a contract from a smaller record company, so the whole family moved to Nashville. After only one year the company went bankrupt, after which the family returned to Oklahoma. Wade began his guitar playing to perfect and worked in his father's band with where he sang, among others, in the background choir. After his high school graduation, he attended three colleges, but soon took the decision to pursue a musical career. As an important incentive served him Ricky Skaggs, whom he saw in the Country Music Award Show. Finally, he moved to Nashville and recorded some demo tapes for record companies. Chick Rains, with whom he wrote some songs that brought him together with the record producer Don Cook ( The Mavericks, Brooks & Dunn). Don was thrilled by Wade and gave him a record deal with Columbia Records.

Achievements

His debut album Old Enough To Know Better was published in 1995. The plate was a best seller, the title song reached within a very short time the No. 1 country singles charts. In the same year he was nominated by the Academy of Country Music for the New Male Vocalist of the Year. His single Do not Stop reached # 10, the ballads I'm Still Dancin ' With You and What I Meant to Say occupied space 4 and 5

Wade's second album, On a Good Night (1996 ) sold just as well and produced the hit song of the same name in the singles charts ( number 2). The third album When The Wrong One Loves You Right (1998) was again a great success, reaching number 9 of the album charts. Appeared in 2000 Highways and Heartaches. Wade Hayes is a member of the New Traditional Movement which combines traditional and modern features. His music shows strong rock influences.
