The Waiohine River is a 35 km long river in the New Zealand Wellington region on the North Island. It runs from its source in the Tararua Range to the south. After he reached the plain north of Lake Wairarapa, he swings to the southeast. From here, the river splits as braided river into numerous arms. The majority of the water flows south-east of Greytown in the Ruamahanga River.
