Waitati

Waitati is a small coastal village in the region of Otago in New Zealand within the city limits of Dunedin. It is located near the Wadden Sea of Blueskin Bay and located 19 kilometers north of the center of Dunedin. The village has 501 inhabitants (as of 2006).

The small river Waitati River flows through the bay before it reaches the sea.

State Highway 1 (SH 1 ), also called " Dunedin Northern Motorway " known tour through the southwest of the village. Three kilometers north he climbs the Kilmog Hill.

The Orokonui Ecosanctuary - conservation project is under construction and scheduled to open in 2008, but can already be visited by appointment.
