Waking Up (OneRepublic album)
Waking Up is the second studio album by the American band OneRepublic, which was released in November 2009.
The album is available in two versions. The standard version includes eleven songs, including the singles Secrets, All the Right Moves, Marchin 'On and the title song Waking Up, the longest song the group with 6:10 minutes. The deluxe version includes six additional pieces that have arisen during or between shots of albums Dreaming Out Loud and Waking Up.
As a singles All the Right Moves were released on September 29, 2009 Secrets on 18 June 2010 on 30 October 2009 and Marchin 'On.
Background
After the success of their debut album Dreaming Out Loud OneRepublic began in 2008 to work on their second album. The lead singer Ryan Tedder announced on 21 July 2009 that the second album would be in five weeks, so on August 15, 2009 completed. On 6 September 2009, the group released a version of their first single of their second album All the Right Moves in low quality, while a version is found in higher quality on their MySpace page. On 8 September 2009, the group published excerpts from four of her songs from the new album on their MySpace page. Eleven songs were announced as part of the song list, which was officially confirmed on 3 November 2009 on the German Amazon site.
Cover
The cover shows an ink blot picture in front of white background, which purports to be a mountain. The colors used are magenta, black, yellow, cyan and blue. In the deluxe version of the album also is to see the inkblot mountain, but in the background are in addition the band members to see.
