The Walhonding River is a 38 km long river in the central eastern U.S. state of Ohio; it belongs to the river system of the Mississippi River. The drainage path leads over Muskingum River, Ohio River and Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico. The catchment area of ​​the Walhonding River is 5833 km ².

The Walhonding River is formed by the confluence of the Mohican and Kokosing River and crosses the Coshocton County southeasterly direction. In the 1930s, was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of the Mohawk Dam to address the risk of flooding. On its way forward, the river passes through the cities Nellie and Warsaw, takes on the coming from the north Killbuck Creek and forms in Coshocton, together with the Tuscarawas River to the Muskingum River. According to the Geographic Names Information System, the river in its settlement history was also referred to by Walhandink River, White Woman Creek, Whiteman's Creek, Wolhonding River and similar names.
