Walk on the Wild Side (film)

On red-hot patch is an American feature film from the year 1962. The film was based on the novel wilderness of life of Nelson Algren.

Action

The action takes place in the U.S. during the 1930s: Dove Link horn is a poor farmer from Texas. He travels to Louisiana in order to find his lost love Hallie Gerard. Along the way he learns the homeless young girl Kitty Twist and the hot-blooded Mexican widow Teresina Vidaverri leading a café, know. Finally Dove comes to New Orleans and finds Hallie in a brothel, run by Jo Courtney. Although he now knows that Hallie works as a prostitute, he persuades her yet to come with him. He manages to convince Hallie of his honesty. However, Jo Courtney does not want to accept that Hallie wants to leave. It suggests unconscious Dove. Kitty Twist finds him, brings him to Teresina and informed about Hallie. Hallie is on its way to the cafe, but is pursued by Jo Courtney and Oliver. Oliver shoots on Dove, but accidentally meets Hallie. Hallie dies in Doves arms.
