Goshawk searches Chicken is an American animated short film directed by Robert McKimson from the year 1946.

Action

Hehery Hawk admits his father to feel a strange craving for something without knowing for what. Poppa Hawk inaugurates its offspring, that the entire family were outsiders because they eat as goshawks chickens. The little Henery goes in search of his first chicken.

Meanwhile annoys the chicken Foghorn Leghorn the Barnyard Dawg, which is prevented only by his chain in an attack. Henery hits the big chicken, announced that he was as a chicken hawk on a chicken search, and Foghorn turns the tiny horse as before. The Barnyard Dawg, thereby revealing Foghorn, was a chicken, and so engages Henery the sleeping dog. The tracked Henery until he is stopped by his chain. Henery and Foghorn now trying several times together, Barnyard Dog to " defeat ", but fail. The dog declared to the astonished Henery after a while not to be a chicken, but a dog - Foghorn other hand, was a chicken. Dog and chicken come now in dispute, which extends into a horse stable. The horse in turn requires both brawlers to the air, which is now jointly attack the horse. At the end of the confused Henery chicken, dog and horse drags with it - one of the three animals must eventually be a chicken.

Production

Goshawk looking chicken came on 31 August 1946 as part of the Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon series in Technicolor in the cinemas. It was the screen debut of the cartoon character Foghorn Leghorn and Barnyard Dawg their opponent. All the characters were spoken by Mel Blanc.
