Walsall Wood

Walsall Wood is a village of 12,874 inhabitants ( 2001) and a civil parish of the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall in the West Midlands and is situated at an altitude of about 150 m.

The A461 as a major route leading from Lichfield in the north coming over Walsall Wood to Walsall and further into the South to Stourbridge.

Traffic

Walsall Wood today has no railway station for passenger more. The Walsall Wood railway station was opened by the Midland Railway in 1884 on the railway line from Aldridge. This station was closed in 1930.
