Walter Gaitán

Walter Nicolás Gaitán Sayavedra ( born March 13, 1977 in La Rioja) is an Argentine footballer who comes in the midfield and in the attack used.

Life

Gaitan began his professional career at Rosario Central CA and in 1998 the " leap across the Atlantic " for Spanish side Villarreal, in which he stood up to the end of 2000 under contract. In early 2001 he returned to his homeland and played for Boca Juniors with whom he won the Copa Libertadores in June 2001.

In the summer of 2002, he moved to Mexico, where he was initially until the end of 2007, the Tigres de la UANL under contract and in the Torneo Apertura 2005 with eleven goals - tied with three other players - top scorer in the Mexican professional league was. He then played for Necaxa and then the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, before moving to Los Angeles Blues SC in early 2011 in the third American League. He remained there only a few months and then returned to his home, where he has since stands at Atlético de Rafaela under contract.
