Wang Xiaoshuai

Wang Xiaoshuai (Chinese王小帅/王小帅, Pinyin Wáng xiaoshuai; May 22nd, 1966 in Shanghai) is a Chinese film director and screenwriter. He is often associated with the " sixth generation " of Chinese filmmakers.

Biography

Wang was born in Shanghai, but spent his childhood and youth, until he was thirteen years old, in Guiyang. During his time in Guiyang, he began to develop an interest in painting, which he was to deepen, as in 1981, at age 15, in Beijing attended a specialized art high school.
