Wanne Observation Tower

The lookout tub is one of the oldest steel truss towers in the world. It was built in 1888 by the observation tower cooperative on the 778 meter high mountain trough east of Villingen, where the construction took over the Villingen bell foundry Green Ingersoll. The 30 meter high tower has three platforms and stands out due to its unusual shape with an octagonal cross-section, but has also been the few years older Büchenbronn lookout.
