Lattice tower

A steel lattice tower is a tower, whose load-bearing element is a timber of riveted, bolted or welded also iron and steel parts. In this screwed construction for overhead line masts are used, while large steel lattice towers, like the Eiffel Tower riveted or even - as the television tower Kiev - are welded. The design has been practiced since the 19th century, most famous building is the Eiffel Tower. They are now used generally as a lookout, pylons, TV tower or radio tower.
