Helgoland radio tower

The station Helgoland is a 113 m high radio tower of Deutsche Telekom AG on the island of Helgoland. The steel truss structure with a triangular cross-section was built in 2000. A special feature of the station Helgoland is that he is additionally secured nor backstays.

It is used in addition to the radio the spread of FM and digital TV.

On Helgoland the first terrestrial frequency for SAT.1 was put into operation on September 4, 1986. This was SAT.1 not only by cable, but to receive for the first time on home antenna.
