Wanshou Temple

The Wanshou Temple (万寿寺/万寿寺, Wanshou si) or Temple of Long Life and Longevity Temple is a Buddhist temple in Suzhou Street of the road district Zizhuyuan in the Beijing Haidian District. It was built in 1577 in the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty for the storage of Chinese Buddhist scriptures. Today it houses the Beijing Art Museum opened in 1985 (Beijing yishu Bowuguan ). The temple stands since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-307 ).
