Warlords Battlecry (game series)

Warlords Battlecry is a series of real-time strategy games of the Australian game developer Steve Fawkner. Fawkner designed the series while working for the Australian development studio Strategic Studies Group ( SSG) and led them to his departure at its developer studio Infinite Interactive on. It is an offshoot of the Warlords games series.

Description

Warlords Battlecry is also located in the fantasy medieval world of Etheria and ported the original turn-based gameplay of the Warlords series in a real-time combat system. Core is the genre-typical structure of a base and securing the production chains for unit production to then destroy all enemy units and facilities. But has also taken over the hero system of Warlords series, after which special hero units similarly can accept a roleplaying character side quests, gain experience, learn special skills and so can most powerful units are trained, that also benefit their accompanying characters. In this point the game is similar to the published two years after Warcraft Warlords Battlecry 3, which helped the principle of hero characters in the strategy genre to great popularity.
