Warnabi

The Warnower were part of the West Slavic tribe of Association of Abodrites in which she played a leading role but. The tribe settled in the district Warnabi, in the area of the river Warnow in Mecklenburg. A cultural center was the Warnowern in the 2nd half of the 9th century by a hall ( in which it would have probably been a deal temple or a shrine ) on an island in the Grand Radener lake at the castle Gross Raden few kilometers north of the small town Sternberg. The first mention of Warnower found in Adam of Bremen as Warnabi. As from written sources, however, not attested tribal center is the castle wall near Friedrich peace, county Ludwigslust - Parchim adopted. A landscape Warnowe is mentioned in 1171 and 1186.
