Wäschberg with water tower Bräunsdorf

The Wäschberg is a 401.7 meter high mountain in the lower Eastern Ore Mountains to the northwest of Bräunsdorf in the district of Central Saxony, Saxony, Germany.

The water supply of the tower was carried out from a tunnel at the eastern foot of the Wäschberges and served the drinking water supply of the State Institute Bräunsdorf ( boarding school ). In 1997, the water system was shut down. The listed tower is now in a desolate state. From the top of the water tower, one can to the Leipzig Battle Monument and to the Fichtelgebirge and the wedge mountain views.
