WBXML

WAP Binary XML ( WBXML ) is a standardized binary representation of XML. The primary goal is data compression for narrowband Internet connections, such as mobile communications.

WBXML was developed by the WAP Forum and is now continued by the Open Mobile Alliance. It is an extension of the Wireless Application Protocol standard by the W3C dar. It is used in almost every mobile phone. Examples include SyncML and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol for synchronization of emails, address and calendar data, the Wireless Markup Language, the instant messaging protocol IMPS, OMA DRM and Over -the-air configurations.
