Weiße Lauter

The White Lauter below the source

The White Lauter is the right source river of Lenninger Lauter. It rises south-east of Gutenberg in the pure origin below the B465. In Lenningen she joins the Black Lauter to Lauter.

Lauter origin

The origin of the White Lauter is located southeast of Gutenberg below the B465 and is designated as a natural monument. It consists of several, lined up against each other in the valley bottom layer sources, which come to light on a few meters as a karst spring. Some of the sources is taken for drinking water supply. The average bulk of approximately 300 liters per second. The catchment area extends to the adjacent Alb plateau, but is not known in detail.

Course

The White Lauter flows westward through Gutenberg, takes on the outskirts of the creek from the Donntal and bends to the north. At the sewage plant, they united with the Black Lauter to Lauter.
