Weiße Spitze

The two highest peaks of the mountains Villgratner, White Lace ( 2962 m, left ) and red peak ( 2956 m, right) as seen from the north-west from Oberseitsee ( 2576 m)

The white tip, with a height of 2962 m above sea level. A. the highest mountain of Villgratner mountains. It is located south of St. Jakob in Defereggen and east of the Austro- Italian border.

The immediate neighbor to the west summit of the White tip is slightly lower Red Lace ( 2956 m). However, the naming of the two peaks is not unique. Here the view of the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying is played. According to the inhabitants of the mountain Defereggental names are reversed, however, the Red lace would be followed by the eastern and higher. The White Lace ( 2962 m, eastern summit of the two mentioned ) can be mounted on a marked path only from the rear of Villgratental ( climbing difficulty II ), on a completely separate from the rise of the Red Peak Off.
