Weixi Lisu Autonomous County

The Autonomous District Weixi Lisu ( Tibetan Balung ) is an autonomous group of Lisu Autonomous County in Deqin of Tibetans in the northwest of Yunnan Province. It has an area of 4661 km ². In 2003 Weixi had 144 551 inhabitants, of whom 83.28 % belonging to national minorities. 13.05% of the Primi of the country live in Weixi. The main town of Weixi is the greater community Mingzhu (保 和 镇).

The Shouguo Temple (寿 国寺, Shouguo si) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-760 ) since 2006.
