Wendy Jans

Wendy Jans ( born June 14, 1983 in Bree ) is a Belgian snooker player.

Career

Jans learned to play snooker in the snooker club De Kaaihoeve, which belonged to her father. In 1994, she started playing in 1998 she became the youngest player for the first time Belgian champion. The following year, she already won the Continental Cup and was second of the European Championship. In the following years she was to take one of the leading players on the European continent and could it with the competitors of the British Isles. In 2003, she won a world ranking tournament as the first non- Briton with the Scottish Open. In the IBSF World Snooker Championship, she stood from 2003 five times in a row in the final and winning the title in 2006 achieved the greatest success of her career. Wendy Jans has its own snooker club called De Maxx in the north of Belgium Neerpelt.
