Wenn die Nacht am tiefsten…

When the night at the lowest ... is the third studio album by the rock band Sharam, which was the last before a six-year studio break. It shows the first signs of a change of genre, that is, away from the style of the song Destroy what destroys you towards the style of the song Hold on to your love.

History

In the years 1973-1974 Sharam had less and less desire it to be the "political jukebox " of the left-wing scene. These eventually further provided that no more than one could ask for a " solidarity contribution" as an admission by the audience, which it could not be particularly good live. Then the band distanced more and more from the squatters slogans, even if they remained loyal to the leftist ideology. Financial problems led to the dissolution in 1973. Separation did not last long, but at the reunion lacked the bassist Kai Sichtermann. He was replaced by Gino idol, the one with the broken already at children's storyteller hell did you wind had cooperated. In addition, still lacked a drummer ( on the album No power for nobody had mainly played Olaf Lietzau drums). The drummer, for the tone was decided to stones broken by Olaf Lietzau Funky K. Götzner. In this line, it was decided in early 1974 to produce a new LP.
