Werchter

Werchter is a Belgian municipality to Rotselaar, Arrondissement (district) Leuven, province of Flemish Brabant town associated with 3157 inhabitants (2007 ). She is known, among other things because of the multi-day rock music festival Rock Werchter, held since 1974 every year on the last weekend of June or the first weekend in July and attracts around 100,000 visitors.

From 1795 to 1977 Werchter was an independent municipality.
