HC Ocelari Třinec

The work arena is an enclosed ice rink in the Czech Třinec. It is the home ground of extra division HC Ocelari Třinec, a hockey team. The Arena offers 5,200 spectators.

Before the construction of the artificial ice rink first was on frozen ponds, played since 1945 in a 12,000 -seat natural ice rink hockey. In 1967, the present work arena was built as an open ice rink with artificial cooling and received in 1976 a steel roof. The roof was built by workers of the local steel plant ( Trzynietzer iron ) and steel beams of the same operation. The highest average attendance had the HC Ocelari Třinec in the 1997/98 season, when an average of 4,908 spectators watched the home games of the club and the team reached the runner-up.
