Werner Brandes

Werner Brandes ( * July 10, 1889 in Braunschweig, † September 30, 1968 in Los Angeles County, California ) was a German cinematographer.

Life

Since 1909 he worked for Franz Porten in the film industry as a cinematographer. Until the beginning of the First World War, he filmed several historical films, including Theodor Körner (1912 ), from Germany's glory days 1870/71 (1913) and the film of Queen Louise (1913). After the war he became " chief surgeon " of Joe May - film company.
