West, Bruce and Laing

West, Bruce and Laing was a rock band, composed of members of the American hard rock band Mountain and the former British blues rock band Cream.

As can easily be seen from the band name, the trio was founded in 1972 from Leslie West ( Mountain, guitar and vocals), Jack Bruce ( Cream, bass and vocals) and Corky Laing ( Mountain, drums). The band saw itself as a blue -based hard rock power trio whose repertoire included both original compositions as well as from Cream numbers. In the very short time of only 18 months, the group produced two studio albums: Why Dontcha and Whatever Turns You On, and a live album titled Live'N'Kickin '. Although the band reasonably popular and the concerts were well attended, they could not build on the great successes of the respective previous bands and veered to the resolution almost into oblivion.

West, Bruce and Laing presented to a " fatter" and more powerful, always blue hugging hard rock sound that inspired many musicians in this period. Among her best known hits: Why Dontcha, The Doctor, Backfire and Cream Classic Politician? .
