Western Conference (KHL)
The Western Conference is one of two conferences in the Continental Hockey Hockey League in Russia. This is in the Bobrov and Tarasov Diwision Diwision divided.
History
The Western Conference was founded to season 2009/ 10 after the KHL decided that instead of four divisions - divide along regional lines - as in its premiere season according to their skill level. In addition to determining the playoff finalists per conference in the KHL All-Star Game also come to the best players in the Western Conference against the best players in the Eastern Conference.
Playoff mode
The winners of the two divisions, and the six best teams in the other conference make the playoffs. In these, the playoff champion of the conference is determined, which then against the champions of the Eastern Conference in the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup, the KHL champion trophy, compete.
