Whanganui Iceland is the largest island of a small group of islands at the mouth of the harbor of Coromandel in the Hauraki Gulf off the coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located just 100 meters from the Ruffin Peninsula in the southwest, separated by the Little Passage. A few kilometers further north lie the Islands Motukawao.

The island is 2.83 km ². The largest part is used for agriculture, but there are also some wooded areas.

The island was up to the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi property of an American settler, then it belonged to the British Crown, today it is private property. The Bay Woolshed Bay on the south coast is a popular sheltered anchorage for sailors from Auckland.
