White Oak is a village in Montgomery County in the U.S. state of Maryland. White Oak is not a built-up area, but exists as a combined unit for statistical purposes, a sosgenannten census-designated place (CDP). Many residents of White Oak consider themselves residents of the neighboring community of Silver Spring.

White Oak is known as the site of the former research institute Naval Ordnance Laboratory, which was operated by the United States Navy until 1994. The terrain is used with stand 2013 by the U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration ( FDA).
